Meet our staff
Scott McKinzie
After practicing in Tucson, Arizona for 23 years, Scott returned home to the Bay Area in 2006. Having grown up in San Jose and graduated from UC Davis, he is so happy to be back and now sharing the joys of living here with Kate and their daughters, Claire and Mary. A graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University School of Dentistry, he has also received additional training in the area of orthodontics and sleep apnea therapy. Scott recognizes the importance of putting patients at ease and keeping them informed, so he takes the time to listen to each person’s concerns.
Kate McKinzie
Our practice represents a new adventure for Kate and Scott, who have been working together for the first time. A licensed clinical social worker with degrees from The University of Arizona and Tulane University, Kate brings a warm and caring manner so many patients need and appreciate. The joy and understanding she and Scott experience in their personal life is now evident in their working relationship. Our "mom and pop" dental practice is something of which they are both very proud and know to be a place of excellent health care delivered in a compassionate environment.
Marjan Aghashiri
As our dental hygienist, Marjan provides excellent clinical care in a kind and gentle manner indicative of her personality. Born and raised in the East Bay, Marjan has earned degrees from Ohlone College, CSU East Bay and The University of Pacific. She enjoys yoga and interior design, but nothing compares to spending time with her husband, family and friends.
Mallory Lightfoot
As Scott’s dental assistant, Mallory is directly involved in patient care and comfort. Her kind and gentle manner helps to put our patients at ease, and her outstanding professional skills offer the perfect compliment to Scott’s care. Mallory received her training from Sacramento City College and will tell you that our office is the best place to work that she could possibly imagine.
